The last summer weekend Soligorsk celebrated not only the City Day and the Miners' Day. This year was marked by the 100th anniversary of Soligorsk district.
On 23 August the Palace of Culture hosted a gala evening “The 100th Anniversary of Soligorsk District: Traditions and Quality”.
The residents of the city and the district, who made a significant contribution to the development of Soligorsk district, were invited to the evening.
The delegation from JSC Belaruskali included people with the title “Honorary Citizen of Soligorsk and Soligorsk district, “Honorary Citizen of Minsk Region”, “Honorary Miner of the Republic of Belarus”, “Inventor of the USSR”, winners of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus, full holders of the “Miner's Glory” award, holders of orders and medals of the USSR and the Republic of Belarus, honoured labour veterans of JSC Belaruskali, Director General, directors of the Production Units, deputies, as well as employees who defended the honour of the country and the district at the Olympics and world championships in various sports, trade union officials and public figures.
